CLINIC UPDATES

Chiropractic:

We are happy to let you know, that in line with the amended directive from the Ministry of Health, we are now able to resume providing chiropractic care to all of our patients. This will include urgent and acute cases, as well as those who are on a regular maintenance schedule for chronic conditions. 

Please be assured that this will be a cautious, careful and steady restart process, while we adhere to the highest standards in professional conduct. Upon your visit you can expect to see the following changes implemented to maximize your health and safety:

·        Active and Passive COVID-19 Screening – conducted via our automated appointment reminder system or upon your arrival. Appropriate signage has been added to the office.

·        Cleaning – enhanced sanitization measures have been implemented following the protocols from Public Health Ontario, including the sanitization of treatment surfaces after each patient visit

·        Physical Distancing – office layout has been simplified to ensure patients remain 2 metres apart from each other when in the office

·        PPE – appropriate PPE will be used by Dr. Delduca when having your examination within 2 metres

·        Hand Hygiene – hand sanitizer is provided and patients are being asked to cleanse their hands upon entering the clinic and after their appointment. Dr. Delduca will sanitize his hands after each patient visit.

 

It has been recommended by the Ministry of Health that patients bring and use their own facemask when attending the office, however this is not a requirement to receiving chiropractic treatment, and the choice will be left up to the individual patient.

Our hours will gradually be increasing, based on patient demand. We will do our best to keep you up to date, via our website and voicemail. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call or email us. We look forward to seeing you all again!

Massage Therapy:

We will be resuming Massage Treatments as of Monday June 8, 2020.

We would like to assure you that in making the decision to resume the Massage Treatments we have taken careful consideration of the health and safety of our patients and our staff. We have things in place and are prepared to follow the guidelines and new standards that have been set by the CMTO and Ministry of Health. Your RMT will be following sensitization guidelines and will be wearing a mask when within 2 meters of a patient and during your treatment.

For patients that have PRE BOOKED your 2020 massage treatments; if you have a treatment scheduled before June 8th, someone will be in touch with you soon.

All appointments that were pre booked will remain as is. There may be some minor time changes that will need to be made to ensure proper spacing between appointment times; if this affects you we will make sure to send you a confirmation email of your new time, we expect most appointments to stay on the same day as originally scheduled.

Many patients had their appointments cancelled due to COVID-19 closures over the last few months. We ask that you please have patience with us as we restart the booking process. We have many people on a list that have called in over the last few months looking to be treated as soon as we were able to take them. If you have been added to a list to be called when we open but you already have a pre booked appointment in the next 2 weeks, we will not be calling you for a sooner appointment. If your circumstances have changed and your symtoms have worsened, and you would like to be seen sooner than your next appointment please give us a call.

Appointment Bookings and Reminders:

You will receive your appointment confirmation email upon booking and your reminder the day before your treatment. You will now be asked to complete the COVID-19 pre-screening tool. This must be completed before each appointment. Reception or your RMT will also go over the screening questions when you arrive to ensure your health status has not changed.

 

Arriving for your appointment:

We ask that you enter the office no earlier than 5 minutes before your appointment time. In accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Health’s recommendation to wear masks whenever physical distancing is not possible, RMT's must ask their client to come to the appointment wearing a clean disposable or reusable mask to be worn throughout the treatment. If the client cannot wear a mask (e.g. due to a health condition or difficulty breathing), your RMT must use their professional judgement to assess the risk of providing or continuing treatment. RMTs must clearly document this in the client health record. Please come alone to your appointment if possible. A log of each individual that enters the practice will be recorded for contact tracing purposes in case of an outbreak.

 

Receipts:

E-mailed receipts only will be provided. Printouts will be made available only where necessary.

Health and Safety:

Your health is very important to us. We want to assure you that as Health Professionals in Ontario and as a public establishment we continue to follow the Infection Control Guidelines. We ask that you use the hand sanitizer provided on your way in and out of your appointment and please self monitor your own symptoms. If you have a fever, cough, or generally do not feel well; if you have been in contact or exposed to someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19; and finally if you have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days, please cancel if you have an appointment and take the appropriate measures to seek the care you may need. We appreciate your cooperation during this time.
